Guys
Head over to:
http://gena/sites/ds07 [make sure you use IE - or at least
IETab within Firefox]
I apologize for the speed, hopefully my exchange will get upgraded to
ADSL2 in the following month or so.
If you need explanations on its uses - Skype me.
I have pre-set several work-items for everyone, although you will only
be able to see these through Visual Studio, once you're connected. In
order to do that though - you'll have to install Team Foundation
Explorer - its an extension for VS.
The coupling of the portal and Visual Studio, will allow us to structure
our approach to producing our documentation as well as a successful
product in the end :)
Regards,
Roman
After two days of installation and configuration {sometimes I wish
everything was like a Mac} - our team foundation server is now ready to
operate. It was a pain to discover that ISA 2004 doesn't like being on
the one machine with Team Foundation Server.
Due to my security concerns - I will require Shawn and Andrew to VPN to
it, prior to utilizing it.
The following features that I can think of right now will be covered:
- SCV
- Resource Scheduling
- Work Item Tracking
- Collaboration portal
Acronis is in charge of our backup -> nightly.
Well
Last year we all did CSCI222 together and a major part of that subject was using RUP in a small team for a small software development project. Guess what! We are going to use the RUP templates and processes for our CSCI321 Project.
Andrew got the templates that we had last year and made the required changes to reflect current group members, our Project Name DS-07, and other miscellaneous changes. Using these, and the four phases of RUP I have put together a very rough, first pass plan using Micro$oft Project. It outlines the documents we need to work on for the rest of the session. It also leads into the construction phase which will start in session2.
Below is a report generated from this plan...depending on how it formats in blogger, I might remove it later, plus, as stated, its a rough first pass plan. WELL, GUESS WHAT...the format sucked so I have removed it for now
